About Jennifer

Hi, I’m Jennifer LaCroix, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in St. Paul, Minnesota. I’ve been licensed in Minnesota for more than 15 years, and I feel deeply honored to do work that allows me to sit with people in their most honest and vulnerable moments.

Much of my passion for this work comes from my family history. My grandfather was a mortician, and I grew up witnessing the profound importance of supporting people through life’s most meaningful transitions. In many ways, my work continues that legacy: helping people grow, understand themselves more fully, and move through change with compassion and steadiness.

Background

I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota and my graduate degree from the University of Connecticut.

Throughout my career, I’ve practiced in a wide range of settings: hospital programs, in-home services, residential treatment centers, and both group and private practices. Each experience has shaped the collaborative, grounded, and deeply human approach I bring to therapy.

Last year, I opened my own private practice, a space designed to feel warm, welcoming, and supportive of true change.

Personal Life

Outside my professional life, I’m a mom to three children who attend public schools here in St. Paul. We recently welcomed a puppy into our lives, a mixed breed bundle of kisses and chaos, Rory is three months old and an absolute delight!

I practice yoga daily and find joy in gardening. Tending to growing things is one of my favorite forms of meditation. I love playing tennis, getting lost in a good book, and spending time with friends and family, especially at our family cabin located near Park Rapids, MN. I love being outside and feel connected when I can be in the woods or near water—or both!!
