Your Healing Journey Starts Here

Relationship Counseling

in St. Paul, MN

I believe the most important relationship we have is the one we have with ourselves. Many of us carry stories about who we are—shaped by past experiences, expectations, and the ways we’ve learned to cope. In therapy, we take time to slow down and explore how you talk to yourself and how those stories may be shaping your relationships, choices, and sense of possibility.

I often work with people who are navigating meaningful life transitions—grief and loss, divorce, career changes, retirement, or other shifts that can leave you wondering, Who am I now? Therapy can be a space to process those changes, reconnect with yourself, and begin to imagine what comes next.

Many of the people I work with are high-performing, capable adults who are used to taking care of others—partners, children, parents, teams, or communities. While they may look like they have everything together on the outside, they’re often carrying a lot on the inside. Together, we create space to manage stress, practice self-compassion, and find the clarity and structure needed to move forward in a way that feels more sustainable and aligned with who you are.

Life can change in an instant.

Whether you’re facing the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a major life transition, or a growing sense of disconnection with those around you or the world, you don’t have to navigate these feelings alone. Identifying these challenges, finding areas of strength and possibilities for growth and healing in a trusted therapeutic relationship can do wonders to begin the healing process. I help individuals, couples, and families move through grief, rebuild trust in themselves and others, and find a way forward that feels authentic and grounded.

Grief is not a problem to solve. It’s a human experience to be witnessed, understood, and integrated. I provide a compassionate space where your emotions are honored, your pace is respected, and your healing can unfold naturally.

Different Types of Grief

Grief isn’t just one thing, and it doesn’t always come from death alone. In this video, I explain several different types of grief, including primary loss, secondary loss, cumulative loss, disenfranchised grief, ambiguous loss, and anticipatory grief, and why naming your loss matters.
